- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda

- 2 cups chocolate chips
- 1 cup caramel sauce
- 1 teaspoon flaky sea salt (for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking dish with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, beat together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until creamy.
- Add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Spread half of the cookie dough into the prepared baking dish and drizzle with caramel sauce.
- Top with the remaining cookie dough and sprinkle with flaky sea salt.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
- Let cool before cutting into bars.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, use dark brown sugar instead of light brown sugar.
- Serve with extra caramel sauce on the side for drizzling.
