- 1 pound ground beef
- 4 cups sliced potatoes
- 1 onion chopped
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 cup shredded cheese
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and cook the onions until translucent.
- Add the ground beef and cook until browned. Drain any excess fat.
- Stir in garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- In a greased casserole dish, layer half of the sliced potatoes.
- Top with the beef mixture and then the remaining potatoes.
- Pour the beef broth over the layers.
- Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
- Remove the foil, sprinkle cheese on top, and bake for an additional 15 minutes or until cheese is melted and potatoes are tender.

- For a richer flavor, use beef broth instead of water.
