- 3 pounds beef roast
- 2 cups apple cider
- 1 onion, sliced
- 4 carrots, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon thyme
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
Instructions
- Place the beef roast in the slow cooker.
- Pour the apple cider over the roast.
- Add the sliced onion, chopped carrots, minced garlic, brown sugar, salt, black pepper, thyme, Worcestershire sauce, and apple cider vinegar.
- Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or until the beef is tender.
- Remove the roast and slice before serving with the vegetables.
Notes
- For extra flavor, sear the roast in a pan before placing it in the slow cooker.
- Serve with mashed potatoes or crusty bread to soak up the delicious juices.
