- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 8 ounces cremini mushrooms, sliced
- 1 cup Marsala wine
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Season the chicken with salt and pepper, then brown on both sides.
- Transfer the chicken to the slow cooker and add the mushrooms, onion, garlic, thyme, Marsala wine, and chicken broth.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or until chicken is cooked through and tender.
- Serve with pasta or rice, spooning the sauce and mushrooms over the top.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add a splash of lemon juice before serving.
- Serve with a side of garlic bread for a complete meal.
