- 2 pounds beef roast
- 3 large onions, sliced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups beef broth
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 2 teaspoons thyme
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C).
- In a roasting pan, place the beef roast in the center.
- In a bowl, mix together the onions, garlic, beef broth, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, salt, and pepper.
- Pour the onion mixture over the roast.
- Cover the pan with foil and roast for 3-4 hours, or until the meat is tender.
- Remove the roast from the oven and let it rest before slicing.
- Serve with the gravy made from the pan juices.
Notes
- For a thicker gravy, mix a tablespoon of cornstarch with water and add it to the drippings.
- Serve with mashed potatoes or crusty bread for a complete meal.
