Ingredients

  • 3 pounds beef ribs
  • 2 tablespoons smoked paprika
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1/2 cup BBQ sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat your smoker to 225°F (107°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix the spices together to create a rub.
  3. Rub the spice mixture all over the beef ribs.
  4. Place the ribs in the smoker bone-side down and smoke for 5-6 hours.
  5. In the last hour, brush BBQ sauce over the ribs.
  6. Check for tenderness and internal temperature, 195°F (90°C) is ideal.
  7. Remove from the smoker and let rest for 30 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, marinate the ribs overnight with the spice rub.
