- 1 pound ground beef
- 4 sourdough taco shells
- 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional toppings: lettuce, tomato, pickles, or your choice
Instructions
- In a skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add sliced onions and sauté until caramelized.
- In a bowl, combine the ground beef with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Form the beef into equal small balls and smash them onto the skillet. Cook until browned on one side, then flip to cook the other side.
- During the last minute of cooking, place shredded sharp cheddar cheese on top to melt.
- Assemble your tacos by placing the smashed burgers into the sourdough taco shells. Add caramelized onions and any optional toppings you like.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!

- For an extra kick, consider adding hot sauce or jalapeños.
