- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon water
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix together the ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, onion, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper until well combined.
- Shape the mixture into patties.
- In a skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.
- Cook the patties in the skillet until browned on both sides and cooked through.
- Remove the patties and set aside.
- Pour the beef broth into the skillet and bring to a simmer.
- In a small bowl, mix the cornstarch and water together until smooth, then stir into the broth to thicken.
- Return the patties to the skillet, coating them in the gravy.
- Serve hot with your choice of sides.
