- 1 box strawberry cake mix
- 4 large eggs
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1 cup water
- 1 can sweetened condensed milk
- 1 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch cake pan.
- Prepare the strawberry cake mix according to package instructions, adding eggs, vegetable oil, and water.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow the cake to cool for 10 minutes, then poke holes all over the top using a fork.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the sweetened condensed milk and softened cream cheese until smooth.
- Pour the cream cheese mixture over the cake, making sure it fills the holes.
- In another bowl, whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until peaks form.
- Spread the whipped cream over the top of the cake.
- Garnish with sliced strawberries and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, add a layer of strawberry jam between the cake and the cream cheese mixture.
- Use a mix of berries for a colorful presentation.
