- 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
- 1 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 package puff pastry sheets, thawed
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- 1 tablespoon granulated sugar (for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- On a floured surface, roll out the puff pastry sheets and cut them into squares.
- Place a spoonful of the cream cheese mixture and a few strawberry slices in the center of each square.
- Fold the pastry over to create a triangle and seal the edges with a fork.
- Brush the tops with the beaten egg and sprinkle with granulated sugar.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- For an extra kick, try adding a pinch of lemon zest to the filling.
