- 2 cups fresh strawberries, pureed
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Stir in the strawberry puree and vanilla extract.
- Gradually combine the dry ingredients with the wet ingredients until well blended.
- Pour the batter into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow to cool before slicing into squares.
Notes
- For added crunch, sprinkle crushed strawberries on top before serving.
- These bars can be frozen for later enjoyment.
