- 2 cups strawberries, sliced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 package pound cake, cut into cubes
- 1/2 cup strawberry jam
Instructions
- In a bowl, whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla until soft peaks form.
- In a trifle dish, layer half of the pound cake cubes at the bottom.
- Spread half of the strawberry jam over the cake.
- Add a layer of half the whipped cream followed by half of the sliced strawberries.
- Repeat the layers with the remaining ingredients, finishing with whipped cream and strawberries on top.
- Chill for at least 2 hours before serving.
Notes
- For extra flavor, you can add a splash of orange juice to the strawberries.
- This dessert is best served chilled and can be made a day ahead.
