  • 1 large head of cabbage
  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 4 slices turkey bacon, cooked and chopped
  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (15 ounces) tomato sauce
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Boil a large pot of water and blanch the cabbage leaves for 2-3 minutes until pliable. Remove and let cool.
  3. In a large bowl, mix together the ground turkey, chopped turkey bacon, cooked rice, onion, garlic, paprika, salt, black pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  4. Spoon the mixture onto each cabbage leaf and roll tightly, tucking in the sides.
  5. Place the rolls seam-side down in a baking dish and cover with tomato sauce.
  6. Bake for 45-50 minutes until the turkey is cooked through.

Notes

  • For added flavor, try using smoked turkey bacon.
  • Serve with a side of sour cream for dipping.
