- 2 ripe plantains
- 4 strips turkey bacon
- 1 cup chicken ham, diced
- 1/2 cup shredded cheese
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Peel the ripe plantains and cut them in half lengthwise.
- In a skillet, cook the turkey bacon until crispy; remove and chop.
- In the same skillet, sauté the chicken ham until heated through.
- Mix the chopped turkey bacon with chicken ham, cheese, salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
- Stuff the plantain halves with the mixture.
- Place stuffed plantains on a baking sheet, drizzle with olive oil.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until the plantains are golden and cheese is melted.
Notes
- For added flavor, consider adding diced onions or bell peppers to the stuffing.
- Top with additional cheese before baking for a cheesy crust.
