- 4 cups diced potatoes
- 1/2 cup turkey bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 1 cup chicken ham, diced
- 1/2 cup onion, chopped
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup shredded cheese (optional)
Instructions
- In a large pot, melt butter over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and cook until translucent.
- Stir in flour and cook for 2 minutes.
- Add chicken broth and diced potatoes, then bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat and simmer until potatoes are tender, about 15 minutes.
- Stir in heavy cream, turkey bacon, chicken ham, garlic powder, black pepper, and salt. Allow to heat through.
- Serve hot, garnished with shredded cheese if desired.
Notes
- For a thicker soup, mash some of the potatoes in the pot.
