- 1 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup fruit jam (your choice)
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar, for dusting
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine softened butter and cream cheese until creamy.
- Add granulated sugar and vanilla extract, mixing until well incorporated.
- Gradually add flour, mixing until the dough forms.
- Chill the dough in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Roll out the chilled dough on a floured surface to about 1/8 inch thickness.
- Cut into squares and place a small dollop of fruit jam in the center of each square.
- Fold the corners of each square towards the center.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until lightly golden.
- Allow to cool and dust with powdered sugar before serving.
Notes
- You can substitute different jams based on your preference.
- For an extra touch, add chopped nuts to the filling.
