Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup fruit jam (your choice)
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar, for dusting

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine softened butter and cream cheese until creamy.
  2. Add granulated sugar and vanilla extract, mixing until well incorporated.
  3. Gradually add flour, mixing until the dough forms.
  4. Chill the dough in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
  5. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  6. Roll out the chilled dough on a floured surface to about 1/8 inch thickness.
  7. Cut into squares and place a small dollop of fruit jam in the center of each square.
  8. Fold the corners of each square towards the center.
  9. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until lightly golden.
  10. Allow to cool and dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

  • You can substitute different jams based on your preference.
  • For an extra touch, add chopped nuts to the filling.
