- 1 ½ cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 8 ounces bittersweet chocolate, chopped
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease two 9-inch round cake pans.
- In a large bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Add eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla; mix until smooth.
- Stir in boiling water, then fold in chocolate chips.
- Divide batter evenly between prepared pans and bake for 30-35 minutes.
- While the cakes cool, prepare the ganache by heating heavy cream and pouring it over chopped bittersweet chocolate; stir until smooth.
- Once cooled, layer cakes with ganache and pour remaining ganache over the top.
- Allow ganache to set before serving.
