- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 2 cups onions, thinly sliced
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon thyme
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1 cup Swiss cheese, shredded
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the onions and cook until caramelized.
- Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and thyme.
- Add chicken to the skillet and sear until browned on both sides.
- Transfer the chicken to a baking dish and pour the beef broth over it.
- Top with the caramelized onions and cheeses.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through.
- Let it rest for a few minutes before serving.

- For extra flavor, marinate chicken in a mixture of herbs and broth before cooking.
