  • Total Time: 3 hours
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups ice cream (your choice)
  • 1 cup cornflakes, crushed
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup vegetable oil (for frying)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix together heavy cream, sweetened condensed milk, and vanilla extract.
  2. Chill the mixture for at least 2 hours until it thickens.
  3. Form ice cream scoops and freeze for another 1-2 hours.
  4. In a shallow bowl, whisk eggs. In another bowl, place the flour, and in a third bowl, place the crushed cornflakes.
  5. Dip each scoop of ice cream first in the flour, then in the egg, and finally in the cornflakes to coat.
  6. Heat oil in a deep frying pan, then fry the coated ice cream for about 30 seconds until golden brown.
  7. Remove and drain on paper towels.
  8. Serve immediately with toppings of your choice.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, consider adding cinnamon to the cornflakes.
  • Make sure the oil is hot enough to prevent the ice cream from melting too quickly.
