- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 3 large eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup strong brewed coffee, cooled
- 1 cup mascarpone cheese
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup coffee liqueur (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, beat the eggs and add milk and melted butter. Combine with dry ingredients.
- Pour batter into prepared pans and bake for 25-30 minutes. Let cool.
- For the tiramisu filling, mix mascarpone cheese, heavy cream, and coffee liqueur in a bowl.
- Once the cakes are cool, soak them with brewed coffee.
- Layer the cakes with the tiramisu filling and refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving.
Notes
- Use fresh ingredients for the best taste.
- For a non-alcoholic version, skip the coffee liqueur.
